This new Google Maps Mashup shows over 6,000 points where stimulus projects have been designated in Canada. The map also shows which ridings (electoral jurisdictions) have received more projects and more projects per-person.
Conservative ridings are coloured blue on the map and non-Conservative ridings are magenta. The dots on the map show the locations of the projects. For the number of projects layer, ridings with darker blues/magentas have more projects than ones in lighter blues/magentas.
The map also comes with tools to adjust the settings. It is possible to adjust the transparency of the ridings layer and to change the colours. It is also possible to filter the results to show only those projects awarded over $5 million.
